We previously announced the launch of “Ask an expert”, a series of interactive workshops in small groups on practical topics. It allows participants to learn more about web analytics & conversion optimization, to discuss with real experts and other practictioners, and to get their “one million dollar” question finally answered.
First workshop on conversion optimization
On November 6th the first Ask-an-expert workshop, “How to efficiently analyze landing pages to optimize conversion”, took place in the Crescent, Brussels. Peter Coopmans explained how to use techniques like the hottest vertical attention zone and the LIFT conversion optimization framework to assess the persuasiveness of landing pages. The principles were illustrated with real-life examples from some of our projects.

The first workshop was a success, with 12 participants from companies like De Persgroep, StepStone, D’Ieteren, Deutsche Bank and Eneco. Based on feedback we received, the participants were quite positive about the workshop content: all gave a good global rating. They all told us they learned something new during the workshop. A majority of participants have indicated they will be likely to attend other workshops in the future.
The next workshop on online KPI’s and effective dashboards
The next “Ask an expert” workshop, on Web Analytics, will take place on December 4th in the Crescent, Brussels. The theme will be “defining business-driven online KPI’s and meaningful dashboards” and will be presented by Michaël Notté, web analytics lead consultant @ the Uptimizers. Michaël will share and use practical methodologies to identify KPI’s that are meaningful for your organization and how to build actionable dashboards.
